As the Year of the Snake approaches, the House of Bulgari unveiled its spectacular Serpenti Infinito exhibition in Shanghai.

The date of January 8 wasn’t chosen by chance — its figure-eight shape echoes the symbol of infinity, perfectly capturing the endless evolution of the serpent motif that has defined Bulgari since 1948. This groundbreaking exhibition bridges the gap between Bulgari’s iconic symbol and the contemporary art world. The showcase features 28 pieces by 19 international artists, including 11 works commissioned specifically for this event.

At its heart lies the breathtaking Infinito: AI Data Sculpture by pioneering media artist Refik Anadol – a mesmerizing three-dimensional creation housed in a mirrored space that offers viewers an immersive 360-degree experience.

The opening night at Shanghai’s historic Zhangyuan complex drew an illustrious crowd of 350 guests. Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway stole the spotlight wearing stunning pieces from the Serpenti collection, while Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin hosted distinguished guests including Italian Consul General Tiziana D’Angelo and LVMH Greater China President Andrew Wu.

The exhibition weaves through three captivating chapters: The Creation of Serpents in History, Serpents in Art, and Contemporary Transformations. Visitors can marvel at rare pieces from Bulgari’s archives alongside never-before-seen masterpieces from their high jewelry collection. Adding an interactive dimension, Bulgari’s master craftsmen demonstrate their exceptional skills in an on-site workshop.

The exhibition goes beyond luxury and artistry to embrace a meaningful cause. In a touching collaboration, Serpenti-themed postcards created by students from leading art schools and talented children with autism showcase how the power of creativity knows no bounds.
