Linda Procházka’s Crystal Visions

The iconic Prague hotel Almanac X Alcron Prague is expanding its artistic repertoire. Designer Linda Procházka has taken over the prestigious showroom, bringing her distinctive signature style that merges crystal glass with modern design.

“Almanac is the ideal place for me to present my design work. Its history, stylish interior, and cultural heritage create an environment that not only inspires but also enhances the very concept of my work,” says Linda Procházka.

Currently, visitors can admire the Coquette collection in the hotel lobby, which won the Public Award at last year’s Designblok and was nominated for Best Designer Novelty by the international jury. This set of unique crystal pieces draws inspiration from a hyperfeminine style dominated by bow motifs and continues the artist’s vision of connecting glassmaking art with fashion trends.

The showroom also features a brand new collection of vases called Winter Veil, which uses a frosting technique to create an impressive frost effect on the glass surface. Linda Procházka promises that throughout the year, new pieces will be gradually introduced both in the showroom and in other areas of the hotel.

“I would particularly like to introduce foreign visitors to the beauty of Czech glassmaking craftsmanship combined with modern design,” explains the designer. “Handcrafted glass is something we can be truly proud of in the Czech Republic. This is also demonstrated by the fact that at the end of 2023, the Czech tradition of handmade glass production was inscribed on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.”
