As Rudolf Jelínek marks its 130th anniversary, the iconic Czech distillery has partnered with designer Lukáš Jabůrek and the historic Květná 1794 glassworks to create something truly special — a limited collection of crystal decanters and glasses for their signature slivovitz.
Jabůrek, best known for his stint as Moser’s artistic director, drew inspiration from the plums of Vizovice for his design. Each piece features deep-cut olives resembling plums, hand-finished with sandblasted and gilded details. The crowning touch is a stopper with diamond cutting and the brand’s signature stag emblem.
“This isn’t my first collaboration with Rudolf Jelínek — I designed their first limited decanter series years ago. When they called me back as an independent designer, it was a no-brainer. I love their brand, and creating this new collection was both exciting and personal,” says the designer.
The hundred-piece edition isn’t just about looks — each numbered decanter comes filled with slivovitz that’s been aging in Czech oak barrels for a decade. “We’ve brought together the craftsmanship of Květná 1794, contemporary design, and our heritage. There’s something special about holding one of these pieces,” says Miroslav Motyčka, Marketing and Sales Director at Rudolf Jelínek.
The numbered sets are now available for reservation through Rudolf Jelínek’s online shop and their stores in Vizovice and Prague. Whether you’re into fine glassware or collecting rare pieces, this one’s worth checking out.
