“We’re Italians; passion for architecture runs in our blood,” says Danilo Manghi, CEO of the company. Since 1993, when Manghi entered the Czech market, they’ve been involved in dozens of projects that not only changed but elevated the beauty of our capital city. From luxury boutiques to five-star hotels and residential districts — in all these places you can find traces of their Italian sense of design and craftsmanship.
Manghi is renowned for renovating historic buildings in Prague’s center, enriching the city with several luxury hotels. Among them, Hotel Thalia on Národní třída stands out, as does Hotel Caruso, housed in a 19th-century Neo-Renaissance building. It’s also hard to miss Hotel Bellagio in the heart of the Jewish Quarter.
“For each project, we try to respect the site’s history while introducing new trends,” explains Danilo Manghi, who runs the company with his father Franco. “Prague is full of beautiful architecture, and our goal is to sensitively complement it, not replace it.”
However, Manghi’s most visible imprint is on Prague’s luxury avenue — Pařížská Street. There, they renovated several buildings and were behind the architectural concept of boutiques for world-renowned brands like Bulgari, Montblanc, Patek Philippe, Moncler, Prada, Fendi, Rolex, and Saint Laurent. “Our goal isn’t just to build, but to create places where people want to spend time,” says the developer. “Whether it’s for living, shopping, or working, we strive to give each space its own story and atmosphere.”
For Manghi, exclusivity is important. But it’s not the only aspect of their work. They actively participate in shaping urban spaces as well. The developer has poured these ambitions into Aura Statenice. “It’s our largest development project,” says Danilo Manghi. “We’re creating a modern residential district that will offer not only quality housing, but also comprehensive infrastructure and services.” The project is growing just north of Prague’s border near the small town of Horoměřice.
Its first phase includes the construction of 79 premium family homes with above-standard plots of up to 1,500 square meters. The houses are arranged in several ‘urban atolls’, which, according to the developer, fosters neighborly relationships and ensures more pleasant living.
“We strive to make everything we do unique and elevate the level of the given location,” Manghi adds with pride. Aura Statenice is located in the picturesque valley of Únětický Creek, where the surrounding area offers numerous opportunities for relaxation and active recreation. Future residents will also enjoy easy access to all local amenities.
Despite the intense competition in the Prague market, Manghi maintains a privileged position thanks to its unique focus and character. “Our projects are our best business card,” Danilo Manghi says proudly. “The fact that customers choose us as their general contractor is the greatest honor for us. In Italy, we love the most beautiful things life has to offer. And we bring this love to Prague as well.”
